
Sierra Small Business Development Center
SBC’s Small Business Council (“SBC”) is a private nonprofit focused on innovative economic development in the Sierra Nevada region. SBC is committed to triple bottom line solutions and works with businesses, community organizations and local governments to create opportunities for our rural population. SBC manages the Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) which provides technical assistance and workshops to entrepreneurs and is a powerful mechanism for economic development with a mission to help local businesses thrive.
The BTV Innovation Cluster Hub hosted by the Sierra Business Council serves the Northern Sierra and primarily Alpine, El Dorado, Inyo, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, and
Sierra Counties.
Sierra Small Business Development Center SBDC provides:

Free one-on-one technical assistance.
2.
Workshops for business plan development.
3.
Financial forecasting.
4.
Marketing and social media.
5.
Pitch deck creation.
6.
Shared workspace including access to high-speed internet, copier, private offices, and conference room.

The Sierra Small Business Development Center works all over the Sierra providing a balanced system.

In addition, SBC can connect entrepreneurs with sources of capital and legal assistance. SBC partners with local chambers, local governments, community colleges and the US Small Business Administration to deliver service.
SBC works in the rural regions of the Northeastern Sierra and has access to
Spanish language translation services.
